The private and public key is for Asymetric alogorithms like RSA, normally people use public key to encrypt and private key to decrypt( only HMAC or MAC will use private key. AES is a symetric algorithm, it uses the same key for encryption and decryption.So tat whoever has the key can read your message. AES-CTR, for example, only generates one key and uses a counter instead of a private key. But Web Crypto does not seem to generate a simple AES Private/Public Key pair that enables me to encrypt/decrypt, as is the case with RSA-OAEP for example, where I can generate a public/private key pair. The Private and Public Keys used would be generated using RSA and the Key/Shared Secret to be generated would be a Symmetric Key for a Symmetric Cipher (I want to use AES-128) I understand the theory behind this but am unsure how to implement it in Java properly, any ideas.
